I served as a medical director in a rural clinic where the majority of our pediatric patients came in with the diagnosis of ADHD. 70% of those children were misdiagnosed! Over the years since I have come to believe two-thirds of the 30% correctly diagnosed are really children who learn through movement being misunderstood by parents who prefer a different learning style. The research shows ADHD children have three major problems: poor relationship skills, poor school results and increased accidents. Many well intentioned parents wishing to protect their children from these problems put them on medication.
If your child really learns through movement then there are better methods to treat these behaviors than drugs. The members of this website are moms who both have solutions and are looking for solutions. I am hosting this website to test how effective their solutions are! If you want o join take the ADHD survey to see if your child really has ADHD.

After the survey if your child has symptoms of ADHD you will also be able to test his learning style preference and talk about solutions that other parents have found.
Does your Child Really Have ADHD?
After years of talking to parents about understanding the mind and heart of their child different and solutions I compiled a book which my audiences have begged me to make available online. In honor of them the book is available on this site. Click here. This book comes with two CDs ADHD Part 1 and ADHD Part 2. Dr. Guffanti's talk with parents about ADHD here is ADHD Part 1, the first half of his workshop.

One parent said of the tips: "I have been so touched by your kindness for helping us learn how to teach our ADD kinesthetic sons. I was telling my husband that, on top of the curriculum that you have generously created, you have sent lots of downloads to help me teach. The tons of ideas that you give are amazing. I had spent up to three hours on the internet trying to find ways to help, but I only found a few babyish ideas. I love that your ideas are multiage. There are so many great materials. Your ideas are absolutely brilliant!" - M.J. , homeschool parent, Edwardsville, IL
